PetroleumBRUNEI was granted all mineral rights in four prime petroleum blocks. These blocks, comprising of offshore Blocks J and K, as well as onshore Blocks L and M, cover a total area of approximately 15,300 sq. km.

As yet another one of PetroleumBRUNEI's commitment and contribution to the national aspiration of widening the industrial base of Brunei Darussalam hydrocarbon resources, PetroleumBRUNEI is currently engaged in active discussions with foreign investors that have been shortlisted by the Government of His Majesty to develop petrochemical plants in the Sungai Liang Industrial Site. Such new industries, when operational, will no doubt contribute to the nation's economic growth and development, through the creation of new opportunities for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and other local businesses by providing a spectrum of services to this new industry. Also, greater employment opportunities would be opened up and made available to the ever increasing number of Bruneian new graduates.

PetroleumBRUNEI is expected to be the local partner in this new industry and is privileged to be able to be a direct part of this significant leap in Brunei Darussalam's industrial development ever since the last large scale investment of such magnitude in the 1970's.
