In PetroleumBRUNEI, we believe that it
is the people that make the organisation. As such, we
consider our people our most valuable asset and an
investment for future dividends.
Our staff development policy encompasses not only the
provision of training and on-the-job mentoring, but also
the practice of peer learning through specially
designated sessions that bring together staff from a
wide variety of technical and non-technical background,
in an environment that stimulates dialogue and
transparent exchange of knowledge, experience and
skills.
It is well known that the oil and gas industry, in
general, is experiencing shortages in young and
technically skilled people who are able to take on the
continued challenges facing the industry in the 21st
century.
In the immediate to short term period, staff training
and development efforts will be intensified in order to
prepare our people for greater responsibilities as the
company adopts a wider scope of investment. This will be
implemented together with a planned program for
necessary work placement and industrial knowledge
exposure.
Beyond the short term period and into the future,
PetroleumBRUNEI expects to continue investing in its
people for the continued well being of the company and
Brunei Darussalam. |
