Brunei National Petroleum Company Sendirian Berhad (in the official language known as Syarikat Petroleum Kebangsaan Brunei Sendirian Berhad) or PetroleumBRUNEI was legislated by enactment by the Brunei National Petroleum Company (BNPC) Order, 2002. The Company was then duly registered on the 14th January 2002 under the Companies Act (CAP 39) as a ‘Private Limited Company', wholly-owned by the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam through the Prime Minister Corporation.
PetroleumBRUNEI first established its business at Bangunan Bahirah in Bandar Seri Begawan. On 14th February 2005, PetroleumBRUNEI officially moved to its new address at Yayasan Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in Bandar Seri Begawan in the heart of the capital .
