Bandar Seri Begawan - PetroleumBRUNEI Upstream Project Manager Siti Hafsah Hj Abd Hamid is scheduled to leave for Japan April 17, to attend the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation Technology Research Centre (JOGMECTRC) Overseas Training Programme.
With her flight just days away, Siti Hafsah Wednesday paid a courtesy call to Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Yoshinobu Nisaka at the Japanese Embassy in Kg Kiarong.
Accompanying the project manager during the courtesy call were Petroleum Brunei Corporate Division General Manager Hj Kula Hj Metasan and Corporate Division HR Manager Hazman Hj Junit.
Being the first local to join the training programme, Siti Hafsah is very much anticipating the visit, during which she hopes to gain an insight into new technology and science, as well as exchange knowledge and expertise with the fellow 17 participants from the world over.
The programme will include a Geophysics Course, Advanced Drilling Management Course, Reservoir Engineering Course and Exploration Geology Course. Participants will also be visiting historical places such as Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima to gain a deeper understanding of Japan.
