PetroleumBRUNEI and the Block M consortium held a consultation session with its stakeholders on 15 January at the ICC.

In his welcome remarks, CEO Hj Mohd Ja’afar bin Hj Awang Bakar encouraged dialogue and an interactive session between the stakeholders and the consortium members in order to understand each others’ needs better. This was followed by an introduction on PetroleumBRUNEI by AGM Hj Iskandar bin Hj Yahya.

Tap Energy then provided status updates to the stakeholders on the completed and upcoming activities. They informed the stakeholders that as the aeromagnetic survey had been completed, 2D and 3D onshore seismic surveys would begin soon in Mukim Labi.

Representatives included PetroleumBRUNEI’s CEO Hj Mohd Ja’afar Hj Awang Bakar and AGM Hj Iskandar Hj Yahya, Tap Energy’s Alfred Stawicki and Jana Corporation’s Dato Seri Laila Jasa Hj Ahmad bin Dato Paduka Matnor.

Amongst the stakeholders was the Belait District Officer, Awang Hj Jamain Hj Momin and other senior government representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Home Affairs.
