Nations Petroleum hosted an appreciation high tea at the Dewan Utama in Tutong on 11 June 2009. The function was held in conjunction with the completion of the seismic project on Block L, and to thank the government agencies, penghulu mukims and village heads for their cooperation and support.

The Guest of Honour at the function was Hj Idris bin Hj Ali, the Tutong District Officer who in his speech said that the seismic survey has proven that the Tutong District has the potential to become an oil and gas producing location, other than the Belait District.

Speeches were also delivered by Hi Iskandar bin Hj Yahya, PetroleumBRUNEI’s Business Asset General Manager and Mr Anthony Cole, Nations Petroleum’s Exploration Manager.

Certificates and souvenirs were presented to the guests as token of appreciation. The function ended with a cheque donation of $1,000 from Nations Petroleum to the Tutong District Administration Committee for His Majesty’s upcoming 63rd birthday celebration in July.
